This is a pretty little ford in Shilton. You can cycle through the ford if the water is safe, or use the nearby bridge if the water levels are too high.

Take the high ground to the left in the field, go through the barbed wire fence, and you’ll find yourself above the swell, at the bridge crossing

A nice little cafe with a few seats inside and out on the street. Very popular. It also has a small bike rack out the front. Good coffee.

August 18, 2023, River Windrush Trail

A great little trail that follows the southern bank of the River Windrush, east of Burford. It can get muddy when it's wet, but as long as you have grippy shoes it's very pretty and good fun.

Lynwood offers some of the best coffee in the Cotswolds. The Burford coffee house is a lovely place right on the high street. Get a window seat and it's excellent for people watching. They also have a water tap inside for refilling bidons. High;y recommended if you like your coffee.
