Beautifully situated vantage point on the bend of the Neckar River with a magnificent view of the vineyards. There you'll also find the sculpture "In Motion" from the metal design and art forge of Ulrich Hoefling.

The Krappenfelsen seen from below is truly an impressive natural spectacle. From the perspective of the Neckar Valley, the steep rock faces rise majestically into the sky and you can see the terraced vineyards clinging to the rocks. The combination of the natural beauty of the rocks and the carefully tended vines creates a breathtaking panorama.

The old town hall, with its hipped roof and turret, was built in 1805 after the previous building had become so dilapidated that it required the addition of heavy beams. To finance the project, the town council decided to offer individual, demolition-ready parts of the old building for sale. Buyers were required to carry out the demolition work at their own expense and were not permitted to damage the stone foundation upon which the new building was to be erected. 500 guilders were raised in this way, and construction of the town hall, as it stands today, could begin. In 1995, the historic 1805 building was augmented with a modern, spacious extension featuring a steel and glass facade and a shed roof. Together, the two buildings retain their distinct character from their respective eras; in 1996, the design was awarded the prize of the Association of German Architects.
