Due to its location in a deep hollow and the surrounding tall trees, the natural wind influence on the lake is significantly reduced, which impairs water circulation. To counteract this, a grid-powered forced water circulation system was installed to ensure sustainable regeneration of the water body.

The highlight "Breitenbach" shows the stream after it flows out of the lake, but unfortunately none of those who posted pictures or those who wrote comments seem to have understood this.

The Hörschweiler fire brigade hut is a rustic log cabin and offers enough space for around 25 people on 21 m² to celebrate cozy hut evenings. Due to the great location on the edge of the forest, the sun shines on the hut all day long. The hut can be reached all year round via a forest road in good condition. Parking spaces are located directly in front of the hut. The covered terrace offers a great view of the idyllic village of Hörschweiler. Hammocks and a playground invite you to linger outside. On cold days, a wood stove ensures sociable evenings in the warm and very comfortably furnished hut.
