From the northern edge of the National Park you’re treated to stunning views of the area’s impressive peaks, with Oke Tor standing out as one of the highest and most notable.

September 25, 2024, Black-a-ven Brook

The Black-a-ven Brook flows from southwest of East Mill Tor to join the East Okement River at Cullever Steps. If you follow the brook upstream you will head into the Okehampton Range, so watch out for the red flags and check the live firing times before you do. It's all within Dartmoor National Park.

Sticklepath stores and cafe. You can sit outside with your bike and watch the world go by. Home made cakes were ridiculously cheap, too, and happy to top up water bottles 🙂
