The "Seehof" is a restaurant with a guesthouse and hotel, built in 1870, as was the neighboring "Seehof Chapel," built by Ludwig Rainer, a member of the "Rainer Singers." In the 19th century, Tyrolean singers were very well-known and popular. The "Rainer Singers" had toured extensively several times, including England, where they received a warm welcome at the royal court, as the "Biographical Encyclopedia for the Austrian Empire" reports: "On this second trip, the Zillertal Singers came to England for the first time, where they found a powerful patron in the Austrian ambassador, Prince Esterházy. Through him, they were introduced to King George IV, who graciously received them and hosted them for an extended period in Windsor. As a result, the Tyrolean singers soon became fashionable in London, receiving the warmest welcome everywhere and earning unimaginable sums." The Seehof Chapel is still privately owned and can only be visited from the inside as part of a paid guided tour.
