Open year round. Decent coffee. Good range of food. Very popular. You may not get a table if you haven't booked.

As noted previously this (relatively short) path does avoid some of London Road, and the short ride by the river is nice, but although I use if fairly regularly I've never thought of it as a highlight of any ride. It's simply a good alternative to the paved road

A whimsical feature at the end of Elmhurst housing estate in Batheaston. Admire the fairy houses, but do not tamper with them, heeding the warning written by the opening in the trunk...

Bridge here can become very congested with cars during peak hours. If visiting to appreciate the scenery, try to avoid busy periods for the best experience.

The towpath is lined with a fascinating range of both big and small canal boats to take a look at whilst you cycle past. Take care whilst cycling along the towpath as you will share it with both walkers and cyclists.

Lovely tea room in Marshfield. Emily's review earlier still stands on bike parking, but the back is quite safe. Good traditional cakes with indoor seating. Does offer cake to take away.
