June 15, 2026, Fieberbrunnen Fountain

The fountain of Fieberbrunn (Fieberbrunnen) is a famous healing spring located in Fieberbrunn, in the PillerseeTal valley in Tyrol, whose history is inextricably linked with the very birth of the town. The toponym of Fieberbrunn derives directly from this ancient fountain and a medieval legend: In the past, the Tyrolean village was called Pramau. According to historical accounts, Countess Margaret of Tyrol-Gorizia (called Maultasch) was in the area suffering from a high fever. By drinking the water from the spring located below the church hill, the regent was completely healed. In honor of the event, the union of the German words Fieber (fever) and Brunn (fountain/spring) gave rise to the current name of the town.

A magnificent panoramic view from the Wilder Kaiser across the Kitzbühel Alps to the Hohe Tauern, the Steinernes Meer, and the Leogang and Lofer Steinberge mountains—it's all there! The path to ☝️ is often rocky and strenuous, but that's precisely what makes the moment at the summit so special and unforgettable 🥰 🥳 😍!!!
