This is not for the faint of heart or legs,. It's steep, it's long and it's plagued by loads of traffic. However it's well paved and makes a super fast descent into the wapses lodge roundabout. you will need a great climbing gear for this and steady cadence. The Hill has two 25% rise with a slight leveling in between

Boundary marking post from the 1860s to mark where tax duties would be liable to the City of London - this one in particular is for the Coal & Wine Duty tax.

There's no real easy way up to Hamsey Green/Warlingham...so you've got to grit your teeth and bear it! It's pretty short and sharp...the downside is that it's a pretty busy road, which is frequented by HGVs (and Surrey Tractors), which often end up passing very closely to you. BE CAREFUL!

Warlingham's a nice place to stop on your way in or out of London on a long ride. Has a nice green in the centre, a couple of half decent cafes, a co-op for supplies and a bakery that does a nice vegan selection.

Grit your teeth for this one. It’s a beast. Road is narrow in places (I got beeped at for going too slowly! Talk about adding insult to injury!)

Nice coffee shop with Tables outside. Then you can pretty much roll down hill all the way to London!
