Very minimalistic cafe, touting scandi inspired design. They serve up all the usual hot and cold drinks, cakes and a basic selection of toasted sandwiches and bagels. Outdoor and indoor seating, but no particularly safe bike storage.

A cricket match on the village green, overlooked by a Union Jack fluttering in the breeze next to the war memorial: sometimes the cliches are true.

Good place to stop for food after the first 25km or so

Plenty of up-and-down here and for me, this is best traversed southbound. There are more climbs southbound, but the worst of them is short and sharp. Northbound, the climb after crossing Pincey Brook is long and a complete a gut-buster.
