The station had a two-story brick reception building and a goods shed. Other buildings such as the water station, a loading ramp and a utility building were only built when the original three-track station was expanded to include another track in the mid-1920s. In the 1960s, the previously independent station was converted into an unmanned station and subordinated to Schönheide Süd station. In the 1990s, the water station and the goods shed were demolished, but the reception building still exists today. The station is now a stop on the Sachsen steam railway route.
