Those brave enough after visiting the house can climb the castle's 38-meter-high central tower. To do so, they must negotiate a staircase winding up the hollow interior of the tower, which leads to lofty heights via 154 cast-iron, openwork steps. This freely suspended staircase is the hallmark of the castle and an architectural feature rarely seen elsewhere. Once they reach the platform at the top, all the effort is forgotten, for the most beautiful view one can enjoy on Rügen awaits.

Two cast sculptures adorn the entrance to the Granitz Hunting Lodge. They probably originally date from the mid-19th century and were manufactured by the Royal Prussian Iron Foundry. They were lost after 1945 and replaced with similar new castings after 2000. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molosser_(Hund)
