We visited Curtis of Lincoln on a road ride down to Lincoln. It's a small, quaint bakery, sandwich shop, café, type place situated 5 minutes out of the city centre. We were served by two lovely ladies, Shelley & Ruth who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even brought us chairs and a table outside for us to sit at. The food was excellent, probably the best stake bake I've ever had, we couldn't have been happier. Perfect for cyclists looking for that refuel station 😊👍

Description of gravel not accurate, at on point you have to cycle around the side of a wheat field, very rutted, also nettles about 3 feet high in places. When you turn of the road on the byway it is blocked across the field with electric fences for the horses. Not a very nice ride.

Not a bad place to stop for a break, refuel just off the main road with big views over the surrounding area, shame there are no longer any planes to watch from RAF Scampton.

Torksey Viaduct is closed. I was there on Friday 7th March 2025 and I ended up cycling south on A road to Dunham Bridge and back north to rejoin the route (Lincoln Gravel Imp). The viaduct may reopen in the future if a new leaseholder is found. Here is some info I found about the closure railwaypaths.org.uk/category/latest-news
