The "Dröge Kraug" (dry inn) at this crossroads was a resting place for forest workers and carters a long time ago. They would probably have wanted a pub (tavern) at this point. The old paths are already visible on the Schmettauschen map from 1794. According to this, old highways crossed here. There is a saying about the Drögen Kraug: "If you want to drink and you don't have anything, you should go back. This is the Dröge Kraug.
