This observation tower is named the 'Boston Pendulum' and was designed by the Belgian architect Paul Robbrecht. It is one of two towers on the Water Rail Way designed by Robbrecht. The other is positioned at the Lincoln end of the trail and is titled 'Lincoln Stump'. It is an interesting place to stop and take a look at the surrounding countryside.

Great afternoon exploring Tattershall Castle. with extra highlights of fly pasts of the Battle of Britain Spitfire & Lancaster Bomber. Highly recommended for anyone interested in history. tour can be completed in a couple of hours National Trust members get free entry. free car parking. wheelchair users or those unsteady on their legs will probably find the tower inaccessible. staff were friendly & knowledgeable. Close to Woodhall Spa & RAF Conningsby

Great traffic-free path. Avoids all of the roads around the area which aren't that pleasnt to cycle on as the car traffic is fast because they're so flat and straight.
