The boardwalk has been paved for several years. Therefore, the name of the highlight no longer fits. What has remained, however, is the beautiful view of the sea and the dune landscape of Langeoog. Some benches and lounge chairs have also been set up.

🚢⚓️ The paddle steamer Concordia II connects the picturesque village of Carolinensiel with the coastal town of Harlesiel via the Harle River. The landing stages serve as starting points for nostalgic shuttle trips and round trips on the inland waterway.

From May 10th to November 1st, the Concordia II operates a daily shuttle service between the Carolinensiel Museum Harbor and the Harlesiel Marina. One-way: Adults €4.00, Children (2-11 years) €2.00 Round trip (approx. 1.5 hours): Adults €7.00, Children (2-11 years) €3.50 This tourist paddle steamer is a replica of the paddle steamer Concordia I, which was inaugurated for passenger transport in 1854. Initially a great success at the time, just a few years later it was determined that the operation of the paddle steamer was completely uneconomical, and it was eventually sold. To this day, it remains unclear where the old ship actually ended up. For many years, the paddle steamer remained a fond memory until the decision was made to build a replica: the Concordia II. The vessel first entered service in 2000 and can transport up to 100 people on plush seats across the Harle River. At 12 km/h, the steamer is twice as fast as its 19th-century model. However, the watercraft doesn't quite live up to its name, as it uses diesel engines instead of steam. https://ostfriesland-domizile.de/sehenwuerdigkeiten/raddampfer-concordia-ii/
