The Luther Fountain is located above the market square, next to the steps leading to St. Peter's Church to the right of the town hall. It was built in 2014 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Stadtwerke Lutherstadt Eisleben GmbH (Lutherstadt Eisleben Public Utilities Company) as a drinking fountain for the town of Eisleben. It provided me with welcome refreshment during my hike in the midsummer temperatures.
