Popular on MTB, but a lot of hike-a-bike when on a Gravel bike.

Brilliant long technical decent . Great fun and completely doable on a mountain bike . Worth stopping to admire the waterfall if your adrenaline allows you too 😜

Fantastic cafe. Brilliant food and friendly service. Just watch out for the closing time. 14.30 for food and it closes at 15.00 but well worth a visit on your walk.

As we started the Gritstone trail there were barriers in place, stating the bridge is closed because it unsafe. detours are set in place but only for walkers and not mtb. we were forced to ride across national trust land where it states no cyclist. At the cafe we met other cyclist who were local. They said it has been like that for years and they still cross it. We cycled to the bridge to have a look. please see photo. i have highlighted this so that you can make an informed decision if you so wish to risk it or not.

A gentle climb up the hill to The Cage. Don't forget to look for the OS benchmark carved onto the side of the building!
