The Johannissteine are a rock formation of carboniferous sandstone on the Piesberg in Osnabrück. They are a natural monument of the city of Osnabrück. In 1789, the Johannissteine were first recorded on a map as "Johannes Steine". On September 29, 2016, the Johannissteine were officially incorporated into the Piesberg circular hiking trail. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannissteine_(Osnabr%C3%BCck)

A really great industrial monument with many explanatory panels about the history of mining at Piesberg.

The sequoia tree stands in a former arboretum. Arboretum (from Latin: "arbor" = tree) is a collection of diverse, often exotic trees in the form of a tree park. At a height of 33.70 meters, the sequoia tree is higher than the townhouse in Osnabrück and has a trunk circumference at chest height of 5.70 meters. He is around 150 years old. Unfortunately, this small park is no longer maintained. Very unfortunate. The main path to the sequoia tree is clear and easy to find, everything else is dilapidated and partly overgrown. Other trees in the collection are not marked. Source: https://erleben.osnabrueck.de/de/stadt-erleben/denkenswertes/arboretum-am-piesberg/
