This is not the Eider estuary. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the town of Tönning (reference point). In front of the barrage, the Purrenstrom extends, an estuary funnel about 9 km long and 2 km wide in the North Sea tidal area. You are merely on the longest cycle path 🚴👍😉 in the world EuroVelo 12, North Sea Cycle Route Over approx. 7,050 kilometers through nine countries (930km in Germany) always along the North Sea, the North Sea Cycle Route is record-breaking! In this respect, this cycle path deserves a bit more than highlights ....sheep, beautiful view of the Wadden Sea, bathing spot, etc. On this cycle path, be sure to pack sunscreen, enough to drink. Shelters are available.

Well, what is supposed to be "nice" on the dike cycle paths is a matter of taste. The North Sea Coast Cycle Route is several hundred kilometers long and looks the same in almost every section. On the left the North Sea, on the right the hinterland to be protected. That's why you ride on the dike. Oh yes, and don't forget the dike keepers. Sheep also look the same everywhere 🫣😂
