The forest pasture in the "Sauhägle" area in the western Schönbuch Nature Park is a project of the Herrenberg city forest. On an area that is now around 8.5 hectares, a historically significant form of forest use is being made tangible again: From spring until autumn (approx. end of October), Galloway cattle and goats graze here to keep the landscape open as a light pasture forest. A wooden walkway leads directly to a viewing platform from which you can observe the animals.
