The historic town hall is probably one of the oldest and most beautiful in Germany, with a documented construction history dating back to 1302. Deep within its walls, the town hall today houses an exciting experience station. Visitors can embark on a journey of discovery independently, from the vault deep in the cellar to high up in the tower. Tickets for this can be obtained at the guest information, located in the "Kophus". From the west tower of the town hall, the "Anreischke" greets the guests of our city. Every two hours, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., the unique carillon can be enjoyed. Source: https://tourismus.duderstadt.de/portal/seiten/das-rathaus-900000181-25420.html

The Basilica of St. Cyriakus in Duderstadt, also called the „Eichsfeld Cathedral“, is one of the largest and most important churches in the Eichsfeld. Its construction began in the 13th century with the early Gothic westwork. Originally, the church had only one tower; the second was added only after a fire in 1852. The interior of the church is characterized by the Late Gothic style and features a net vault as well as particularly rich and valuable furnishings. These include, among other things, a winged altarpiece from around 1500, Baroque and Gothic artworks, and a significant Baroque organ from the 18th century, which was later restored.

Directly in front of the city wall lies the Stadtpark. Together with the ramparts, where lime trees and chestnut trees up to 300 years old grow, and the Bürgergärten (citizens' gardens), it forms a green ring around the old town. The idyllic Obertorteich, once also part of the sophisticated defensive systems, belongs to this as well. A footpath on the ramparts repeatedly offers beautiful views of the old town's houses.
