War memorial that commemorates the naval warfare events in the Romsdalsfjord in April 1940. It is named after the famous Norwegian destroyer (or torpedo boat) HNoMS Sleipner, which resisted fierce German air raids in the region during World War II. It was solemnly inaugurated on June 7, 1999, by Rear Admiral Dagfinn Kjeholt, who was himself the deputy commander of the Sleipner in 1940. 👉🏻 Unfortunately, the area was cordoned off and therefore not accessible.
