The location of this highlight is near narrow paths by the stream in a piece of forest. Cooling, beautiful and the place where animals come to drink. Away from the world for a moment, hidden in the wide valley.

The Rosdel winds in a long S-bend from l’Ecluse in Wallonia to Nerm in Hoegaarden. The Schoorbroekbeek is the artery of the area. The nature reserve is very beautiful scenically and, due to the alternation of valleys, terraces and slopes and the transitions from steep valley sides to wide plateaus, it has something of the allure of a landscape from the Voerstreek region. Sometimes busy, but otherwise ideal for a bit of acceleration. But if you really want to, the small roads around it are much nicer in terms of views.

This watchtower, made of stacked Corten steel apple crates, evokes a unique piece of fruit-growing history. In the past, workers from a similar tower were on the lookout for illegal work.

The Hoegaarden monks were the first to discover the unique wheat beer recipe in 1445. Historical sources tell us that the first wheat beer was incredibly sour—until the monks of Hoegaarden began experimenting with orange peel and coriander. This divine discovery makes today's beer one of the world's most famous Hoegaarden recipes.
