Xhendremael is one of the oldest parishes in the region. It remained until the beginning of the 19th century the “mother” church of several parishes (including Hombroux and Alleur, which quickly became more important). The first church (from at least the 8th century) was dedicated to Saint George. Although a mother church, its population was not very large, the parish apparently never had more than a single priest who also had to serve an annex chapel in the hamlet of Viernay (until the end of the 18th century approximately)

Nice wood chip path (be careful, this one is private, during the hunting season be careful not to go there, because the wood is rented by hunters)
