The church is one of the smallest in the Kahla region. The originally Romanesque hall church has been altered many times. The choir function has been lost, and the annex on the same site now serves as a sacristy. The roof tower dates from 1865.

Definitely worth a detour if you're in the area. On our checkpoint tour, we had to climb up to the castle after 200 km, which was quite a challenge. Highly recommended!
