Parcines Waterfall (Partschinser Wasserfall)

Highlight • Waterfall

At 97 meters, the Zielbach falls at the Partschinser waterfall with impressive power into the depths. An incessant series of water curtains rushes over the edge of the rock, shimmering in all the colors of the rainbow when exposed to the sun. Most of the water masses are in the time of snowmelt between May and July or after heavy rains. In the evening at around 8 pm the waterfall leads the most water, since it takes five hours from the melting point in the upper target valley to here.

Passer Gorge

Highlight • Gorge

The power of water plays a big role in the Passeiertal. It is particularly impressive between Moos and St. Leonhard. Starting from the sports facilities in St. Leonhard, the trail follows marker no. 1 of the Passer. After about a kilometer, a bridge leads to the southern side of the valley. Here begins the newly created Schluchtenweg. An elaborate construction of metal bridges and stairs overcomes the difficult places in the gorge, which goes up to moss for about 5 km.

About 340 vertical meters are to be overcome to the finish. But you get special impressions of the forces of nature and also a look at the Stuller waterfalls, always alternating with more leisurely passages through the forest on the valley slope.

This gorge is a very special experience. Only to be recommended :-).

Gorge of the 1,000 Steps

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

Stone steps, wooden steps, metal steps - probably even more than 1,000 pieces. Up and down, the Meraner Höhenweg winds along the steep slopes of the Texel group. As a reward for the effort, there are always wonderful views into the Adige Valley and the Vinschgau Valley.

The power of water plays a major role in the Passeier Valley. It is particularly impressive between Moos and St. Leonhard. Here the passer still shows the typical behavior a mountain stream with dynamic banks. The transported material is deposited as the current slows down and forms small gravel islands, gravel and sand banks.
