Consonno è una famosa città fantasma situata in Lombardia, nel comune di Olginate in provincia di Lecco, nota anche come la "Las Vegas della Brianza" o il "Paese dei Balocchi". Fino ai primi anni Sessanta, Consonno era un tranquillo villaggio agricolo i cui abitanti vivevano di agricoltura e della vendita di castagne, sedano e porri. Nel 1962 l'eccentrico imprenditore milanese conte Mario Bagno acquistò l'intero borgo, rase al suolo quasi tutte le vecchie case (lasciando solo la chiesa di San Maurizio e il cimitero) e decise di trasformarlo in un lussuoso centro di svago e divertimento. Nacquero edifici bizzarri e stravaganti con architetture esotiche: un minareto, una pagoda cinese, cannoni medievali, sale da ballo e gallerie in stile arabo che attiravano folle e personaggi famosi.
