What was once a dirt and almost illegal junction has now become a road with a cycle path wanted by the municipality of Gorla Minore after the establishment of the new Lidl supermarket.

The descent from San Ferne della Battaliga is a section which has been in the Giro di Italia and Tour de Lambardy, however it would be really great if the community of Como would maintain this section of road as it is a beautiful descent but all the potholes and rough surfaces keep you from enjoying the beautiful view of the Lago di Como in the background
