May 20, 2026, View of Capri in the Distance

This path leads across private land. The gate was open, but there is a sign saying not to go through, so we turned back and then somehow went up a very steep path. Up to this point, however, the path is very beautiful.. after that, we sometimes went through very narrow paths with high grass and thicket until we rejoined the route - I think it depends on which path you find and take, there are different ones here and as with almost all of Ischia's hiking trails, nothing is properly signposted ;-)

May 20, 2026, Pizzi Bianchi

So the path is no longer there all the way down. You can still walk well up to the rocks Pizzi Bianchi (it's quite steep and you should have good non-slip footwear) but then at some point there's only a very hard-to-recognize path along a steep slope through very tall grass and thicket. If you can still overcome that and climb over a piece of fence, you'll reach a viewpoint with a bench and a wooden arch. A couple of old deck chairs are there too. After that, it doesn't really make sense to go any further, as it ends at a cliff. The path is definitely no longer there. Then it's all the way back up ;-)

Good hiking shoes required, do not walk in the rain.

This path crosses private land in parts. We found a locked gate and had to retrace our steps.

Be careful in the pine forest. Dead trees falling on the path make it dangerous and impassable in some places.

Beautiful views of Casamicciola, Lacco, Epomeo, and Forio. This, along with the view of Ischia, make this trail fantastic and unmissable.

The pine forest is completely dry and challenging, with many fallen trees on the path completely obstructing the path. It requires a lot of caution and a spirit of adventure.
