Technical ride, knee pads are recommended. Zucca trail very clean, the trails that instead descend to the goats are very eroded by the rains and force you at times to get off or at least ride challenging sections. My advice is to follow the Castagnone route which is technical but well marked. We also recommend downloading trail forks where the trails and difficulty levels are marked.

The climb of Nisporto (also known as the climb of Lavacchi or Aia di Cacio, depending on the side and the exact pass) is one of the most fascinating and challenging cycling ascents in the northeastern part of the Island of Elba, in the municipality of Rio. It winds through breathtaking panoramas that combine the Mediterranean scrub with the view of the sea and the nearby Castello del Volterraio.

Portoferraio is the capital, the most populous municipality, and the main port of the Island of Elba, in Tuscany. Historically founded by Etruscan-Roman civilizations with the name of Fabricia, the town owes its current Renaissance charm to Cosimo I de' Medici, who in the 16th century transformed it into a mighty fortress-city called Cosmopoli. Today Portoferraio represents the main access point for visitors disembarking from ferries coming from Piombino, welcoming them with the spectacular view of the Darsena Medicea.
