The first nucleus of the church of San Marco, with a quadrangular plan, was built between 1680 and 1693, while the facade was built at the beginning of the eighteenth century by Paolo Mistrotti. Also in that century the ceiling of the parish church was redone; the bell tower, destroyed by lightning on 25 April 1786, was rebuilt in 1790.
