Tips from the Community

Kristian
April 27, 2026, Schloss Hirrlingen

Hirrlinger Castle was built between 1557 and 1558 by Freiherr Georg VII. von Ow (1517-1575) in the Renaissance style, modelled after Bühler Castle, and is one of the few rural Renaissance castles in the district of Tübingen that has remained almost unchanged. Today, the castle rooms house the town hall.

The Wurmlinger Kapelle is visible from afar. Whether from the Ammertal or from the Hirschauer Baggerseen, it looks good from all sides.

The church and parish in Bierlingen were already mentioned in 1275. In 1537, the church was placed under the patronage of Saint Martin. Its nave was renovated in 1971 and 1972, preserving the late Gothic tower and choir.

It is a bridge exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists. For visitors to the outdoor swimming pool, it is the main access point if they park on the opposite side of the Neckar River.
