The church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary is a Catholic place of worship with neoclassical forms located near the active course of the Taro river in Ronchetti, in the municipality of San Secondo Parmense, in the province and diocese of Parma; it is a subsidiary of the parish church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary of San Secondo Parmense and is part of the pastoral area of the Bassa. HISTORY: The church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary of Ronchetti, eponymous of the Collegiate church of the municipal capital, is actually older than it, being mentioned for the first time in 1354 in a parchment (valuation) where it appeared in the territory of the Pieve di San Genesio but subject to the direct authority of the bishop of Parma Ugolino de' Rossi. The church underwent various renovations and remained a subsidiary church incorporated into the parish of San Secondo Parmense, being deconsecrated in the second half of the 19th century. The church was used in 1972 to shoot part of the film Don Camillo and the young people of today, particularly for the wedding scene between Don Camillo's niece and Peppone's son. Recently, a part of the roof has collapsed. DECONSECRATED CHURCH!!!!! SOURCE: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiesa_dell%27Annunciazione_di_Maria_Vergine_(San_Secondo_Parmense)
