The Mill Trail is ideal for a circular hike that takes about an hour and a half. It begins at the parking lot in the village center of Terento and, guided by signs and information boards, leads through a forest and, in about 40 minutes, to the earth pyramids. These were created by a historic storm in 1837 and are now considered among the most impressive natural spectacles in South Tyrol. After another ten minutes' walk, you finally reach the five main mills. During the summer months, more precisely from mid-May to October, a guided mill hike for families takes place every Monday, and one of the mills is open for tours from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
