Uwaldalm

Highlight • Mountain Hut

In my opinion, the Uwaldalm is the most beautiful alpine pasture near the end of the Gsieser Tal valley. Even if the access route isn't particularly pleasant to hike, you'll be rewarded!
The waitresses are courteous, the selection of food and drinks is very good, and the prices are fair.
The highlight is the look out into Val Casies.
A visit to this alpine pasture is highly recommended after trips to the Riepenspitze, the Hochkreuz or the Black Lake!
There is also a hiking stamp!

Gsieser Gorge

Highlight • Mountain Pass

Updated 2024: Easy to hike border crossing with a great view. A cute rest area has been set up on the Italian side (see photo) with a table and bench, even covered.
Note: From the East Tyrol side you hike through the Lappachalm area. Numerous signs have been put up there saying that dogs are not allowed through because of the cows (see photo). There is no alternative route. We walked the path with a small dog without any problems. We only met cows shortly before the Törl, they were in the middle of / on the path, but very relaxed - although also without calves. At other times of the year this may be different and correspondingly more difficult!

Dreifingerscharte

Highlight • Mountain Pass

Beautiful, but ultimately strenuous ascent from the Furkelpass (approx. 500 meters in altitude, approx. 2 hours). Great view of the Enneberg Dolomites and over towards Geisler. From the Scharte it is another 40 minutes up to the Piz da Peres and it takes about the same time to reach the beautiful Hochalmsee, which is in an easterly direction.
