The Church of San Bernardo has ancient origins; in fact, it would seem to have arisen around 1400 by incorporating a pre-existing watchtower located on the ancient road that connected Brescia to Iseo. The original structure underwent a major renovation during the 17th century; the openings were modified and the semicircular apse was replaced with a more spacious square-shaped one to house the new Baroque-style altar. The small leaning bell tower also dates back to this period. There are numerous pictorial works inside the Church, including four well-preserved frescoes, presumably dating back to 1500, dedicated to the story of the martyrdom of Blessed Simonino da Trento.
