Nearby is the Baltic Sea Coastal Cycle Route (Ostseeküstenradweg). It leads directly through the Rostocker Heide, parallel to the Baltic Sea coast BUT you see nothing of the coast and the ground is a forest path. My recommendation: Take the absolutely good asphalted cycle path parallel to the L22 from Hinrichshagen to Graal-Müritz.

In the forests directly bordering the Baltic Sea, you'll often find old trees with gnarled, twisted, or crooked growth. They are a true part of the landscape and delight the viewer with their venerable growth.
