The tunnel was opened on 15.09.24. Only a few lamps work. Impassable without your own lights

Surely, walking through a small 2.4 km long tunnel, even if perfectly straight, is a special experience. The internal temperature is always quite cool (about 10°C) and it is useful to have a rather powerful flashlight. OFFICIAL NOTES: Built between 2003 and 2004 as a drinking and fire irrigation channel to replace the old “LEZ” aqueduct that since 1800 has brought water from the Val di Tovel to Terres and the surrounding villages, today, the Terres tunnel, acquires a new hiking use, becoming an integral part of the DBB and DBT routes. ATTENTION: Mandatory helmet and pedestrian safety lights.

The wish was to experience another highlight on the way south. Unfortunately, the gallery is closed until further notice. If it is passable again one day, I will include it in one of my tours.

Super tasty, local dishes at absolutely fair prices. Plus warm hospitality and very friendly staff. Wonderful view of the Monte Peller basin and the surrounding mountains. You can even spend the night up here at 2000m altitude. All information at https://www.rifugiopeller.com/
