The Knechtsteden Monastery is a former Premonstratensian abbey from the early 12th century, which has been owned by the Spiritan Order since 1896. It is located in North Rhine-Westphalia west of Dormagen, west of Delhoven and south-southwest of Straberg. The monastery complex is situated on a gentle hill next to the depression of a former Rhine arm. It consists of an area from which the gatehouse and the monastery basilica of St. Andrew protrude. The Catholic Norbert Gymnasium and a restaurant are also located on the monastery grounds. The monastery is located in a local recreation and nature reserve.
