If possible, take a guided tour, I had one with Alfred and it was entertaining and fun. The museum relates to Nordic skiing (cross-country and ski jumping) with influences from Norway around 1890 to 1910 and a survey up to approx. 1960 with Thoma in the Black Forest. Alpine skiing is at home in Austria, Switzerland and the "southeast" of Germany from the Allgäu. There are only a handful of Norwegian cross-country ski bindings from 1890 and Austrian alpine bindings from Zdarsky 1903 and Bilgeri 1910. For Thoma there is a separate room with video (great with the guided tour). A lot of space is taken up by the various Black Forest skiers and jumpers of modern times.

To me, it looks like a weather station with a clock.

A very nice bike path! And, of course, with few inclines. Please note: Currently (autumn 2025), the shortcut in Lenzkirch via the sewage treatment plant is closed due to construction work.
