There are many "private property" signs when in reality they are part of a CAI trail.

Information center for the Monte Bibele archaeological site, home to the remains of a unique Etruscan-Celtic village. Drinking water, cold showers available, and shelter. They are happy to camp in the beautiful meadows opposite. Highly recommended stop.

The tour is impassable. Done on 05/01/25. The stream has changed bed and the route is full of landslides that force bikers to wade often (at least 10 times..) the stream to find a semi-cement way out. The stream is knee-deep, ergo wet transmission.

The building called Centro Servizi, dedicated to Venturino Naldi, who helped us so much with his great passion for archeology, provides the essential services for the Park (common fountain with drinking water, toilets, seats, emergency management point , info point). We are equipping it with a multipurpose room for temporary exhibitions, screenings and conferences / conventions, a reception / bookshop, an equipped kitchen, a small refreshment corner and folding tables and benches for temporary events and events. The Reception Center will instead have a guesthouse for the custodial staff and a guesthouse for the guests of any summer school, solar fields, conferences, temporary events or field research activities also equipped with a living area - refreshment area. November 7, 2021, Monte Bibele Summit

Mount Bibele is a mountain massif in the middle Bolognese Apennines which acts as a watershed between the basins of the Idice stream to the east and the Zena stream to the west. Its maximum peak reaches 617 meters above sea level and is located in the municipality of Monterenzio (BO). The toponym Bibele probably derives from the Latin verb bibo which means to drink; this mountain, in fact, is known in medieval documents with the name of Monte Bibulo, and was until the 70s of the last century very prolific in perennial springs of fresh and sulphurous water that flowed at its feet. (Source: Wikipedia) The richness of these spring waters would perhaps be the basis of the choice of the settlement by its ancient inhabitants. Here for several decades, an Etruscan community lived together with a Celtic one. This sharing, more unique than rare, has been brought to light over years of excavations by archaeologists, students and volunteers from the University of Bologna and the Municipality of Monterenzio.
