One of my favorite routes, quiet, rarely anyone around, the path mostly close to the Rhine riverbank, many bunkers from WWII. A beautiful riverside path to enjoy. There are also bunkers with viewing platforms, the remains of a Roman defensive castle.

The riverside promenade on the Rhine in Waldshut is worthwhile for a relaxed stop with a mountain bike. I like to take a short break from the pace here because you can roll along nicely right by the water and enjoy the view of the Rhine. The proximity to the old town makes the section particularly pleasant – perfect for a short break on the go.

A quiet, secluded, and very popular pilgrimage site in Leuggern. Open 24 hours a day. Public restrooms are available on site. The grounds feature a well-maintained garden with benches.

Be sure to use the bike path indicated on the tour. The main road is busy and cars travel very fast.
