It took a while, and I walked around the stone twice before I spotted the "witch"... I also took a great photo where she's clearly visible... (Picture 6) 🧹

Beautiful view of the treetops...YES To be honest, I expected more from the observation tower... But it was still nice to have been up there 🫶

The sturdy, tall tower is now surrounded by equally tall trees - the view over the surrounding area to Reichenau is still clear, but towards the Alps a row of trees is already blocking the view.

It's magical that there's nothing to be found on the www about the mysterious stone in the forest that's signposted. All the better, because then you can let your imagination run wild and imagine or feel stories about the witch's stone when you are in this hidden place.

A truly beautiful destination! There's a parking area 300 meters from the lookout tower, from which a path through meadows and woods leads to the tower. At the top of the platform, you'll find information panels about the magnificent view, a wooden bench, and summit registers, which are unfortunately quite tattered. ... Information on the municipality's website: https://www.haibach.at/Aussichtswarte_Sterngartlblick_Haibach "Looking from the 40-square-meter viewing platform at a height of 26 meters, the SternGartl/Gusental region unfolds before you with its gently rolling hills and ridges. This hilly landscape extends far into the Waldviertel region, and on a clear day, the radio tower in České Budějovice (Budweis) can even be seen to the north. In good weather or during a Föhn wind, the view stretches far beyond the province of Upper Austria. From the Dachstein massif to the hills surrounding the Pyhrn-Priel region, the view also opens up to the Styrian and Lower Austrian Alpine foothills, dominated by the Ötscher and Schneeberg mountains..." And here's a beautiful video from the observation tower: https://youtu.be/nRRF3NstpoI

You can relax on the wooden bench just above the village of Wirth, the view is beautiful in this quiet place. The Sterngartlblick lookout point is located right through the small forest.
