There used to be infrastructure there; it would be nice if it were still there.

An idyllic Siegauen section of the Siegradweg between Hoppengarten and Dattenfeld, no bridge, no railway. It's a good alternative to the two long straight stretches of the L333 (the speed limit is often 70 km/h there 😁) before Dattenfeld. A bell on the bike for pedestrian information is a good idea.

The Siegradweg is only designed on one side and still doesn't run all the way to its source as a standalone cycle path. Be careful of the asphalt raised by tree roots; don't be alarmed; you might bump a bit. A bell on your bike is essential because of the many pedestrians, and lights can also be useful on very sunny days when you're quickly getting out of the shadows. Behind Dreisel, it leads for about 1km on unpaved roads, climbing a steep 11% gradient through the forest to Mauel. In Rosbach, you're forced onto the Siegtalstraße. Beware of flooding; the path regularly floods and is initially covered in dirt.
