Grete Adrian. Nahe bei Rostocker-Wulfshagen im Walde ist ein Pfost zur Erinnerung an eine Mordthat aufgerichtet. Eine Aufschrift meldet, daß an dortiger Stelle den 5. Mai 1826 ein Mädchen, Namens Grete Adrian, erschlagen gefunden worden. Nach den Aussagen glaubwürdiger Leute dortiger Gegend, soll diese Grete Adrian, aus Rostocker-Wulfshagen gebürtig, von ihrem Verführer in jenem Wald ermordet worden sein. Seit dieser Zeit haust ein Geist in der Gegend, wo die Mordthat geschehen. Sowohl bei Abend- und Nachtzeit, als auch am hellen Tage sind Fuhrwerke, Reiter und Fußgänger, auf dem Wege durchs Gehölz, in dessen unmittelbarer Nähe das Erinnerungszeichen steht, durch Stimmen und Getöse erschreckt, irregeführt und die Pferde scheu geworden. Ein Mann, der bei dunkler Abendzeit den Weg ging und an dem Pfost vorbei wollte, fühlte sich plötzlich beklemmt. Es erhob sich in den hohen Waldbäumen, deren dichtes Laubwerk den Fahrweg überragt, ein Getöse und Gebrause und Knattern, nicht wie von einem starken Winde bewegt, sondern als ob die Zweige zerbrochen und das Laub heruntergeschlagen würde. Der Mann hielt es für einen vom Sturmwinde getriebenen Regen oder für einen riesigen Hagel. Dem widersprach aber der Umstand, daß kein Regentropfen oder Hagelkorn auf ihn herabfiel, und wiewohl er zu wiederholtenmalen die Hand ausstreckte, doch kein nasser Tropfen dieselbe berührte. Mittlerweile erreichte er das Ende des Waldes und befand sich vor Rostocker-Wulfshagen. So wie er ins Freie trat, vernahm er nichts mehr von einem ungestümen Wetter, es war Windstille und klare Luft. Ein Mann, der bei dunkler Abendzeit den Weg von Willershagen nach Rostocker-Wulfshagen durch den Wald ging und voller Besorgniß war, er möchte den Weg, der vom Landwege rechts ab nach Rostocker- Wulfshagen geht, verfehlen, hörte, daß ihm ein Fuhrwerk in langsamem Schritte entgegenkam. Da er dem Wagen nahegekommen schien, bog derselbe plötzlich ab und nahm die Richtung nach Rostocker-Wulfshagen. So deutlich war das Rasseln der Räder und der Tritt der Pferde zu vernehmen, daß der Mann immer glaubte, das Fuhrwerk nahe vor sich zu haben und sich wunderte, da es eben nicht so stockfinster war, den Wagen nicht sehen, noch denselben greifen zu können. Bei der ersten Wohnung des Dorfes angelangt, hielt das Fuhrwerk still und die Erscheinung verschwand. Quelle: Bartsch Nr. 653 übermittelt von Stud. Reimers in Rostock.
