I haven't been here for a few years, but it did me a lot of good right away. The hut service was perfect, as it used to be. I will be here more often now.

In the year 1182, in a deed by Margrave Otakar IV of Styria (also Ottokar), a certain "Chalhoch de Stratensteine" is attested, confirming the freedoms of Seckau Abbey, dedicated by his father. Two years later, his son "Ortolf" also appears in documents. Both names are characteristic of the Lords of Schrattenstein.

Ascent through the northern gully and then "around the back" to the summit, well possible with grade 1 climbing. Not really exposed. Good footholds and handholds.
