The salt lake is nice to look at, but won't blow you away. The entry side is teeming with swimmers (tourist boats), while the opposite side is much more relaxed. Don't forget your water shoes (rocks, muddy/slippery). The sea is much more appealing for swimming! You can walk around the lake on a path; I recommend sturdy shoes. P.S.: It is NOT Winnetou's "Silver Lake," even though the tour operators like to say that!
