The Incoronata Regional Park is a protected natural area of 1000 hectares in the Tavoliere delle Puglie, a few kilometers from Foggia. It preserves a forest of centuries-old downy oaks, lapped by the Cervaro torrent and is crossed by numerous paths that immerse themselves in the greenery of nature, however not very suitable for being covered by road bikes. Inside the protected area there is also the sanctuary of the Madonna Incoronata, a pilgrimage destination for devotees of the Black Madonna.

The Sanctuary of the Incoronata is a Catholic place of worship dedicated to the Black Madonna, who appeared in the year 1001 to a count and a shepherd in the Cervaro wood. Every year, on the last Saturday of April, the feast of the apparition is celebrated with a ride of angels and the offering of oil for the votive lamp. The sanctuary has a bronze crown hanging from the dome, an organ of 2000 pipes and the title of minor basilica.

The ancient village is accessed from the Porta di Sant'Antonio Abate, and through characteristic alleys you can visit the Basilica Cathedral Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Norman castle which was also the ducal palace, the Clock Tower and the Arch of Porta Nuova .

Bovino in the province of Foggia is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The historic center is very characteristic, with narrow alleys and stone houses, and its most important monument is the Cathedral, which mixes different styles and has a wooden choir with mysterious symbols.

The sanctuary of the Madonna Incoronata is a Catholic building belonging to the Borgo Incoronata, i.e. a fraction of Foggia, where the effigy of the Blessed Virgin Mary Crowned, a Black Madonna, is venerated. As reported on Wikipedia, the first apparition of the Virgin took place in April 1001, to a count of Ariano and a shepherd in the Cervaro wood. Near the tree where the apparition took place, the shepherd filled a "caldarella" with a "mesata" of oil and made a votive lamp which still today, out of popular devotion, continues to burn inside the sanctuary.
