If you go to Sněžka in the summer, wear autumn clothes. If you go to Sněžka in the autumn, wear winter clothes. If you go to Sněžka in the winter, wear clothes that you would also wear in the Arctic! And if you go to Sněžka in the spring, wear clothes for all four seasons. 🌦️😅

Great restaurant with a view of the Schneekoppe. You might want to use the toilet here again, as the WC at the cable car on the Schneekoppe is not open all year round.

A beautifully situated mountain hut under Śnieżka, on the Polish-Czech border. The hut is located at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level. There are plenty of places to stay, but as you can imagine, this place is very popular, so book in advance. Meals and drinks are, of course, available, so everything is as it should be. https://domslaski.pl/

The history of meteorological observations here on Śnieżka begins in 1824, but the first observatory was here since 1900. This one is named after Tadeusz Hołdys, who directed it for many years. Beautiful views!

Silesian Stones or in Czech Dívčí kameny are a group of rocks on the Silesian Ridge made of Karkonosze granite. A good photo opportunity for tourists and beautiful views, as everywhere here.

Very impressive rock formations (1413m high) directly on the border ridge. Great view of the Hoher Rad and the Rübezahlkamm with the transmitter station and in the other direction to the Schneekoppe. To the northeast the view extends to the Hirschberger valley. To the southwest you can see the Elbe valley and the Panschenfall. The most interesting are certainly the three rock towers that resemble women in skirts.

The most iconic peak is undoubtedly Śnieżka (Schneekoppe) Summit, the highest in the Karkonosze and the entire Sudetes. Its distinctive conical shape is recognizable, and it offers unparalleled panoramic views. Another popular choice is Szrenica, known for its accessibility and winter sports.
Yes, several peaks and areas are suitable for families. Szrenica is an excellent choice, offering scenic trails and the option of using a chairlift from Szklarska Poręba. Additionally, Dívčí Kameny (Maiden Stones) features impressive rock formations and is noted as family-friendly.
For a more challenging trek, consider routes leading to Śnieżka (Schneekoppe) Summit, especially if you opt for trails directly from Karpacz without using the chairlift. Wielki Szyszak also offers a rugged experience with trails through mountain meadows and granite scree, ideal for those seeking a deeper connection with untouched nature.

Śnieżka (Schneekoppe) Summit provides unparalleled panoramic views of both the Polish and Czech sides of the mountains. Skalny Stół is also renowned for its excellent panoramic viewpoint, offering a breathtaking vista of the Karkonosze.
