Das Insektenhotel am Hetzdorfer Viadukt fiel uns auch auf. Von hinten hätte man meinen können, es ist ein Gedenktafel oder ein Grabstein. Eine schöne und sinnvolle Idee.

An old legend from the Ore Mountains is associated with the place: A miller from the Flöha valley is said to have promised his soul to the devil if he would build him a stone bridge over the river overnight. When the work was almost completed shortly after midnight, the miller regretted his deed and woke the rooster prematurely. The rooster crowed, the devil believed he had been cheated, raged in the rocks, and left the heavy stones behind.

The oak tree and bench are a landmark. Coming from the direction of Oederan, one looks back south towards the Ore Mountains panorama after having conquered the ascent through the Oederan municipal forest.

There is a bench with a view along the bell trail. Next to it is an information panel with explanations about the Memmendorf-Frankenstein limestone quarries.

Farm Life with Petting Zoo and Adventure Playground On our small farm, you can observe alpacas, sheep, and goats, as well as wallabies and rheas. The goats also enjoy being petted in a specially designed petting zoo. We kindly ask that you do not feed the animals, as they are well cared for and additional feeding can lead to illness. Thank you. For children, a variety of play equipment invites them to romp and climb in the fresh air. Here, young and old alike can spend relaxing hours. https://www.goldener-stern.com/erleben/
